This policy describes how The Mind-Body Connection LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares your information when you visit courses.mbcyoga.com, enroll in an online course, or use our student portal at portal.courses.mbcyoga.com.
Our Upland studio is covered by a separate studio privacy policy. Questions about either? Email [email protected].
Information you give us. When you enroll, create a portal account, book a call, or contact us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and billing address. We also keep a record of which courses you have purchased and your progress through them.
Payment information. Card details are collected and stored by our payment processor, not by us. We receive only what we need to recognize the payment, such as the last four digits, the card brand, and whether the charge succeeded.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours records your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and similar log data. This is used to keep the site working and secure and to understand how it is used.
Course participation. Live sessions are recorded and shared with students enrolled in that course, so if you speak or appear on camera you will be in that recording. This is explained in our Terms.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and we do not buy personal information about you from third parties.
You can opt out of marketing at any time. Course communications about a program you are enrolled in are operational rather than marketing, and you will keep receiving those while you are enrolled.
If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive text messages, we may text you about your enrollment, upcoming sessions, and schedule changes, and, where you have agreed to it, about our programs.
Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchasing anything. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Opting out of texts does not affect your enrollment or your access to your course.
We do not sell or share mobile numbers or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing. Numbers are shared only with the messaging provider that delivers the messages for us.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who make the school run, and only so far as they need it to do their job:
Where a course awards continuing education hours or credit, we may report your completion to the relevant awarding body, because that is how the hours get recognized.
If our business is ever sold or merged, information may transfer as part of that transaction.
Our site uses cookies that are necessary for it to work, such as keeping you logged in to the portal and remembering the contents of your order. We also use analytics to understand how the site is used, which pages people read, and whether our courses are easy to find.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the necessary ones may stop checkout or the portal from working properly.
We keep enrollment and payment records for as long as we need them for accounting, tax, and awarding-body purposes. Other personal information is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward, and no longer than thirty-six (36) months past the start of an idle period, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. After that we delete or anonymize it.
Our online courses are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has given us information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for certain purposes, and the right not to be treated differently for asking.
If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, or Virginia, you may have specific rights under your state's privacy law, including the right to opt out of targeted advertising and of the sale or sharing of personal data. We have not sold or shared personal information for a business or commercial purpose, and we do not intend to.
To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. If we decline, you may appeal by replying to our response.
No uniform standard for Do-Not-Track browser signals has been settled, so we do not currently respond to them. If that changes, we will update this policy.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including keeping card data with a specialist payment processor rather than on our own systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
We may update this policy. The revised version takes effect as soon as it is posted here, and the "last updated" date above will change.
