These Terms govern the online courses, trainings, and digital materials sold at courses.mbcyoga.com and delivered through our student portal at portal.courses.mbcyoga.com, by The Mind-Body Connection LLC ("we," "us," or "our").
Our online school is separate from our Upland studio. Studio memberships, class packs, drop-ins, and in-person policies are covered by the studio terms and do not apply here. By enrolling in a course, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a course. Our courses are open worldwide and are taught in English.
Prices are shown at checkout and may change at any time before you purchase. The price you pay is the price displayed when you complete your enrollment. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card details.
Where an early enrollment price is offered, it applies only to enrollments completed on or before the date stated at checkout. Discount codes must be entered at checkout and cannot be applied afterward.
Some courses may be purchased through a payment plan. If you choose one:
All sales are final. We do not offer refunds on online courses.
This includes, but is not limited to: changing your mind, being unable to attend live sessions, falling behind, withdrawing partway through, or not completing the course. Failing to finish a course, or to meet its completion requirements, does not entitle you to a refund or a partial refund.
Because the price reflects the full program rather than individual sessions, we do not prorate or credit unattended sessions.
If we cancel a course before it begins and cannot offer you a place in a later cohort, we will refund what you paid for that course in full. This is the only circumstance in which we issue a refund.
Nothing in this section limits any right you have that cannot be waived under the law that applies to you.
On enrollment you receive access to the course through our student portal. Live sessions run on the schedule published on the course page. Recordings of live sessions are made available to enrolled students, so you can keep up if you miss one.
Your access is personal to you. Accounts, logins, downloads, and recordings may not be shared, and access may be suspended if we find an account is being shared.
Our live sessions are recorded so they can be made available to everyone enrolled. If you speak, ask a question, or have your camera on, your voice, name, or image may appear in a recording that other students in your cohort can watch. If you would rather not appear, you are welcome to keep your camera off and to ask questions in writing.
We do not sell recordings, and we do not use recordings that include students in advertising without asking you first.
Occasionally a session has to be moved, or a different qualified instructor has to teach it. We will give you as much notice as we can, and a recording will be provided. Changes of this kind are not grounds for a refund.
Where a course offers a certificate, continuing education hours, or credit toward a qualification, those are awarded only when you meet the attendance and completion requirements described on the course page. Enrolling and paying does not by itself earn a certificate or hours.
We report continuing education hours in line with the requirements of the awarding body. We cannot guarantee that any third party, employer, or registry will accept or recognize a certificate or hours.
Yoga and related movement practice carry inherent risks, and practicing at home without an instructor physically present carries its own. Our courses are educational. They are not medical care, diagnosis, or treatment, and they do not replace care from a licensed medical or mental health professional.
Please consult a qualified healthcare provider before beginning any new physical practice, particularly if you are pregnant, recovering from injury or illness, or managing a health condition. You take part voluntarily and at your own risk, you are responsible for practicing within your own limits, and you should stop if you feel pain or discomfort. You are responsible for making sure your practice space is safe.
All course content, including recordings, handouts, translations, slides, written materials, and the structure of the courses themselves, is owned by The Mind-Body Connection LLC or used with permission.
You may use the materials for your own personal study. You may not record our live sessions yourself, copy or redistribute the materials, post them publicly, share them with people who are not enrolled, resell them, or use them to teach your own paid course or training.
We are committed to a welcoming, trauma-sensitive learning space. We ask everyone to treat instructors and fellow students with respect. We may remove a student, without refund, for harassment, threatening behavior, or conduct that disrupts the safety or comfort of others.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Mind-Body Connection LLC, its owners, instructors, and staff are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our courses, materials, website, or portal. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here, and the "last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision. The Terms that apply to your enrollment are the ones in effect on the day you enrolled.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or from your use of our courses will be handled in the state or federal courts located in San Bernardino County, California.
