Teacher training session at The Mind-Body Connection
300-Hour Training for Studios

Make your classes
stand out.

Train your teachers in the why behind every pose, breath and practice. A 300-hour therapeutic yoga training for studio teams, 100% live online, starting Monday, October 26.

The yoga industry is changing

If your schedule looks like everyone else's, you're competing on price.

Your members can stream a flow class from their couch for a few dollars a month. The gym down the street includes yoga with a membership. Class apps let people try you once and never come back.

That's a race nobody wins.

Here's what's not changing: people walk in hurting. Back pain. Anxiety. Depression. Sleep they can't get back. Bodies in menopause that don't feel like their own anymore.

More of the same won't keep those people. A teacher who knows what to do with what they're carrying will. Those members stay for years. They bring their friends. Their lives actually change.

You don't have to change what you teach.
Style isn't the point. The why is.

One layer isn't enough

Most teachers were trained to see yoga through a Western lens. Muscles, joints, alignment. That's one layer. It explains what a pose does to the body. It doesn't explain why someone's anxiety eases, or why their back finally lets go.

Yoga has its own model of a person. Body, breath, mind and emotions, all connected, all moved by prana. And underneath all of it is identity. "I'm an anxious person." "I have a bad back." "I'm broken." Pain and stress settle in and become who people think they are.

Yoga was built to work at that level. Most trainings never go there. This one does.

Your teachers keep the style they love: vinyasa, ashtanga, hatha, yin, restorative, power, fitness-based. We teach them to start with the person, then choose the practice. Each tool for a reason, working on every layer.

What is Viniyoga?

Viniyoga simply means application.

The Viniyoga style teaches your teachers how to apply the tools and principles of yoga to the student in front of them. Movement, breath, sound and meditation, each one chosen for that person and used for a reason.

It isn't a new class style that replaces what your studio already teaches. Your teachers can apply it to vinyasa, ashtanga, hatha, yin, restorative or power classes, and make every one of them work for the people in the room.

The classes people stay for

These are some of the best classes on our own schedule. The people who come, stay. Your teachers will learn to build them in your studio's style:

  • Yoga for back pain
  • Yoga for depression
  • Stress and anxiety relief
  • Menopause and perimenopause
  • Athletes who keep getting hurt
  • Osteoporosis
  • Vitality and strength

Why we teach it this way

I came to yoga for complex PTSD, after nothing else worked. It wasn't the poses that helped. It was a teacher who knew how to adapt the practice to me. Breath, movement, sound, stillness. Each one used on purpose.

I didn't just have symptoms. I believed I was them. Yoga is what showed me otherwise. It's what the Yoga Sutras are about: the difference between who you are and what you're carrying.

In this training, we go to the root. Identity. Your teachers' first, then their students'. I've never seen another teacher training go there.

What your studio gets

  • Teachers who can adapt any class to the person in front of them, instead of telling them to skip it and take child's pose.
  • Classes nobody down the street offers. Studios that help people heal don't have to compete on price.
  • Members who stay for years and bring their friends, because their lives actually change.
  • A 300-hour certificate for every teacher who completes the training, from a Yoga Alliance Registered School.
  • No travel and no time away from your schedule. Everything is live online, from wherever your teachers are.

Bring your team: the studio rate

When 2 or more teachers from one studio join, everyone from your studio gets a discount. The more teachers you bring, the more each one saves.

Every studio is different, so we set your studio's rate together on a quick call. Tell us a little about your team and we'll hold your teachers' spots.

Or call us at (909) 488-4622.

Questions studios ask

Do my teachers need a 200-hour first?

No. Everyone who completes the training receives our 300-hour certificate. A 200-hour is only needed if a teacher wants to register their 300 hours with Yoga Alliance.

Will my teachers have to change what they teach?

No. The training works with any style. Your teachers learn why each pose, breath and practice works, so they can adapt the classes they already teach.

Is it really all online?

Yes. Every session is live online, and every session is recorded for review.

How does the studio rate work?

When 2 or more teachers from one studio join, everyone from that studio gets a discount. We set each studio's rate together on a quick call. Book a quick call about your studio.

What if a teacher needs to withdraw?

Before the first weekend module starts, they get a full refund minus the $450 deposit. After that, the refund follows the enrollment agreement.

Can a teacher enroll on their own?

Yes. See the full training page or enroll directly below.
